Our Story

We built a voice no one else would build

Silver Inc started with a family problem. Grandparents who couldn't understand grandchildren. Stories that stopped at the language line. So we set out to build tools that keep families connected across generations — and we immediately hit a wall.

The world's translation engines could write Hmong. Not one of them could speak it, and not one of them could hear it. For millions of people, "just use a translator" has never actually been an option.

So we built it ourselves — our own Hmong speech recognition and our own Hmong voice, trained from scratch. The kind of work that only gets done by someone who needs it. Then we did the obvious thing: an engine that works for the hardest language works for the easy ones too. Today that same engine runs in 100+ languages, across every product we make.

That's the whole company in one line: we build for the language that gets left out, then give the result to everyone.

Chief Technology Officer

Over 30 years of experience in the IT industry, providing software project design and development skills to produce solutions that meet business requirements and solve problems. Experience with Claude and AI Development.

Sheur Yang

Chief Financial Officer

Sheur Yang brings over 20 years of nonprofit finance leadership to Silver Inc. She has directed financial strategy, government grant compliance, and Board and Finance Committee reporting for organizations managing multimillion-dollar, multi-funder portfolios — growing one nonprofit's annual budget from $500K to $5M and its operating reserves from $100K to $2.5M, with more than 15 consecutive years of clean audit opinions. At Silver Inc. she leads finance, internal controls, audit readiness, and long-term sustainability planning.

Malia Yang-Xiong

Vice President of Operations

Malia Yang-Xiong brings over 20 years of public-school and community experience to Silver Inc. She leads operations, project management, training, quality assurance, public-sector and school partnerships, nonprofit initiatives, language-expert coordination, and language-model training, helping ensure Silver Inc.'s technologies are accurate, practical, culturally relevant, and ready for real-world use.

Lead Technical Engineer & QA Specialist

Experienced in supply chain, management, accounting, inventory, sales, and retail operations. Experience in Full-Stack AI Platform Development.

Paj Hlub Xyooj

Hmong Translator · iSpeak

My daughter — and the Hmong voice of iSpeak. Fluent across 100+ languages, she translates any of them into Hmong and is here to help with any translation you need. Find her on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

What drives us

Our mission is to deliver real-time speech and translation that reaches the people other technology skips — underserved language communities, families separated by language, and the billions who speak a language they were never taught to read. We put that capability everywhere people already are: the platforms they watch, the podcasts they hear, the articles they read, the classrooms they teach in, and the rooms where their families gather.

Our Language Commitments

Our roadmap is a commitment, not an aspiration. Hmong is trained and in operation today — built by us, from scratch, when no other engine could speak it or hear it. We are holding ourselves to the same standard, and the same method, for the languages that come next.

BY 2027Complete training for Somali, Lao, and Karen — to the standard already demonstrated with Hmong.

BY 2028Complete training for Yorùbá, Igbo, Oromo, and Fulfulde — extending the same work to West and East Africa.
